Question: Lose almost 2 million customers in the past year? Answer: Take down the Scroll of Resurrection cause our cash flow is tight and we can’t be giving out free months of play to the loyal subscribers who have carried us through this recession…
Instead of taking down the SoR, Blizzard should be bolstering it with even greater rewards, incentivize me to pressure my friends to return! This whole thing is just another “Mist” (see what I did there?) opportunity for them, but what do I know. Below is a ticket I recently submitted to the blues:
Hello Blizzard Blues,
So the Scroll of Resurrection has been down for over a month. I have never used the service, and I have never needed too. Until WoW started losing 2 million subscribers over the past year! So now, I could have used it and it is on cool down?! My buddy, [...random email address...], look him up, he got tired of waiting for Blizzard to fix the SoR problem and we got tired of waiting, so he went ahead and reactivated recently… This costs everyone! Both him and I didn’t get the perks of SoR, and it cost you, Blizzard, you. It delayed his return by a month, which in turn delayed his cash flowing to you, by a month.
Now I am trying to talk my brother into reactivating… Can we somehow retroactively apply the fix? Or send us the X51 rocket mount or something!! Or is it contrary to popular belief that Blizzard does not love money and players? Or maybe you guys made a nice load of cash off the Heart of the Aspects mount and are fat and happy, sitting on a beach somewhere drinking corona talking about the lulz??
Let me know, if something can be done, i might turn the screws a little harder on my little bro to reactivate, which he might in turn bring a few of his friends back who have left also. Then this thing goes viral and you next thing you know you have 20 million active subscribers because.. well because SWTOR just wasn’t all that great…

I will keep you apprised of any update…
Update 02/28/2012: The patch this week looks to have fixed the Scroll Feature… Looks like I got there attention!
